Brian Babcock is an SBA and government-guaranteed lender at Ameris Bank, providing financing to small businesses nationwide. He is based in Wilmington, North Carolina, and brings more than 11 years of banking experience across credit underwriting and business development.

Brian brings a practical understanding of how to structure transactions that meet both a borrower’s objectives and the requirements necessary to successfully close a loan.

Brian works with independent business owners and franchisees on acquisitions, expansions, commercial real estate, equipment financing, refinancing and other growth opportunities. He has particular expertise in the automotive aftermarket and car wash industries, where he has spent much of his career financing businesses across the country.

Brian is an Eagle Scout and graduate of Elon University. Outside of banking, he enjoys traveling, boating, working on cars, home improvement projects and spending time with family and friends along the North Carolina coast.
