Flying on the holiday itself is generally cheaper than trying to get out the day before. Try and avoid flying on Sundays. This tip applies all year long, but especially holds true during the holiday season.

If you’re not staying with family look into a bundle deal. You can usually get a better deal on your flight, hotel and even a rental car when you book them together through a third party service.

Packing snacks can help save both time and money on road trips. This way you don’t have to spend money on the increased prices that travel centers charge and you can make less stops for food.
