3 Tips for Easy Spring Cleaning

Father and Daughter cleaning

It is that time of year again and spring is in the air, don’t let a musty house spoil it!

After awaking from your winter hibernation, take advantage of the warmer weather and start Spring on the right foot.

These three tips can help get you started:

Tip One

Use a combination of salt and soda water to get your refrigerator squeaky clean! The bubbling action of the soda water combines with the abrasive texture of the salt, creating a great cleaner. This ensures you are not leaving your food in a refrigerator with full of germs.

Tip Two

Your faucet collects more dirt buildup than you might expect. The best way to get rid of lime buildup around the faucet it is to lay paper towels over the fixture, soak it with vinegar and let it set for an hour. The deposits will soften and become easier to remove.

Tip Three

One of the best parts of spring is being able to turn the heater off and open the windows. Make sure to first clean your screens that have been on all winter. But, don’t forget to put those screens back on so bugs do not find their way into your home. Clean your screens with a scrap of carpeting. It makes a powerful brush that removes all the dirt. While clean screens make for a happy home you can’t forget about your windows! Clean your windows with a rag and soapy water, and then dry them with another rag. You can also go to an auto-parts store and buy a windshield squeegee, which cleans very well.

A clean home will put a spring in your step and allow you to enjoy the season!
