Michael Carnevale Promoted to Ameris Bank City President
Ameris Bank Market President Josh Johnson announces that Michael Carnevale has been promoted to city president for the Gainesville market. Carnevale will be responsible for the oversight of core banking activities for the Gainesville market, and building and strengthening the bank’s initiatives and programs.
Carnevale has been in the financial services industry for over 29 years. His career began in the real estate and mortgage sector, and then he moved to SunTrust, now Truist, where he served as a branch manager, Jacksonville area team leader and the area manager for Alachua and Marion county. Carnevale joined Ameris Bank in December of 2016, and most recently served as vice president, commercial banker.

Carnevale is dedicated to the local community and currently serves as director for the Alachua, Gilchrist and Levy County Crime Stoppers, a member of the Lions Club and a member of the Greater Gainesville Chamber. He earned both his bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate and MBA from the University of Florida. Carnevale lives in Gainesville with his wife Rhea and their three children.
