Market President Robert Vice Assumes New Market Areas of Responsibility

Thomasville, Ga. – Ameris Bank Chief Banking Officer Austen Carroll announces that market president Robert Vice will assume new market areas of responsibility. In addition to overseeing the Panama City market, Vice will now also oversee areas in the bank’s South Georgia footprint, including Thomasville, Cairo, and Donalsonville.

Vice previously served as market president in Tallahassee. Since joining Ameris Bank in 2013, Vice has been instrumental in developing significant loan and deposit growth for the Tallahassee branch.

Commenting on the promotion Carroll shared, “Robert has done a remarkable job in assembling a great team in Tallahassee and helping establish Ameris Bank as a top commercial bank serving the local market. I am confident that his leadership and expertise will enhance the customer experience in these important markets within the bank’s footprint.”

Vice has more than 45 years of banking and lending experience. Prior to joining Ameris Bank, he served as first vice president of corporate banking for SunTrust in Tallahassee and as senior vice president of corporate banking and retail administration for Barnett Bank’s Georgia and Florida regions.

Vice is a graduate of Ohio University. As part of his new market role, Vice and his wife will be relocating to Thomasville, Ga.
