Brad Danowski Named Ameris Bank City President for the Brunswick Market
Brad Danowski has been named the city president for Ameris Bank's Brunswick market, which includes Brunswick, St. Simons Island, Sea Island and Jekyll Island. Danowski will be responsible for the oversight of core banking activities in this market and building and strengthening the bank’s initiatives and programs.
With over 20 years of banking experience, Danowski is an experienced banker in many different sectors of the industry. Prior to joining Ameris Bank, Danowski was a senior vice president in the private wealth management and commercial banking group at Synovus Bank. Before that, he was a portfolio manager in the real estate finance group at SunTrust.
“Brad will be an invaluable addition to our team as he brings many years of banking, financial and management expertise. His knowledge will help the bank continue to expand our reach and strengthen our banking relationships with customers,” said Ameris Bank Southeast Georgia Coast Market President Mike Hodges.
Danowski attended University of Georgia and graduated from the Terry College of Business with a bachelor’s of business administration with a double major in finance and management. He then attended the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University, receiving his graduate degree in bank management. Danowski is dedicated to serving his community, and he currently serves as chairman on the Wesley UMC Endowment and is a founding member and treasurer of the 1st Tee of the Golden Isles. Previously, he was a past board member of the Brunswick Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce and a past board member and executive committee member of United Way of Coastal Georgia. He is also a member of Sigma Iota Epsilon at the University of Georgia, an honorary management society.

Danowski is a member of Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica, and he and his wife, Kate, reside in St. Simons Island, Georgia with their three children, Cope, Will and Smith, and their two labs.
