This year marks Ameris Bank’s inaugural award program for  Volunteer of the Year. This award will be given annually to a teammate who goes above and beyond volunteering their time, talents and resources to support organizations and causes in their community.

On behalf of the entire Ameris Bank team, a big congratulations goes to…

Kim McMichael, the inaugural recipient of the Ameris Bank Volunteer of the Year award! Kim is the branch manager at our Monticello, Georgia office and is very involved in the community, giving much of her time to the Jasper County Community Food Bank, serving as both a board member and treasurer, and to Mercy, Love and Joy organizing shopping sponsors for children in need.

In reaction to receiving this award, Kim shared “It is my honor and privilege to serve and give back. I am humbled by this recognition, but truly in awe of the life-changing impact our Food Bank and ML&J have on families and children in our community. I am grateful to play a part.”

Ameris Bank also named two Volunteer of the Year runners-up. Alicia Rhodes, assistant branch manager from our Blountstown, Florida office, is an on-call volunteer firefighter, first responder and Mossy Pond Volunteer Fire Fighter board member. Sarah Lippert, branch manager from our Richmond Hill, Georgia office, is the founding member and board member of the Kiwanis Club of Richmond Hill and is active in the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and United Way serving in various leadership and board capacities.
