Ameris Bank Expands Leadership Team - Adding New Director of Treasury Services and Retail Director
Ameris Bank now the largest Atlanta-based bank, announced the hiring of two new leaders, Keith Flynn and Michael Coady. Flynn joined as director of treasury services and Coady joined as retail director.
With over 33 years of experience in the banking industry, Flynn will be responsible for leading the treasury services team and overseeing all treasury operations. He has spent the last 29 years in treasury management roles. Prior to joining Ameris Bank, Flynn was senior vice president and treasury management executive for Regions Bank for 12 years, where he was responsible for leading the Midwest treasury management sales team that consisted of 16 treasury professionals who supported all commercial business units. Prior to that role, Flynn was the treasury management and merchant services sales manager for Fifth Third Bank

Flynn earned his MBA from Southern Illinois University and a bachelor’s in finance from Central Missouri State University. Additionally, he is a permanent certified cash manager. Flynn and his wife, Kara, recently moved to Atlanta from St. Louis.

As retail director, Coady will be responsible for the oversight of the bank’s retail branches. He has over 20 years of executive banking experience for multi-branch community and commercial operations. Prior to joining Ameris Bank, he was the relationship management managing director for First Republic Bank, where he was responsible for new client business development as well as portfolio customer service needs.

Coady earned his degree in political science from the University of Connecticut, is a graduate of Bank of America’s Management Associate Program and attended the MIT Sloan School of Management Executive Curriculum. Additionally, he served in the military for nine years as an Infantry Officer, legal specialist, a member of the Airborne Infantry and Army National Guard. Coady is dedicated to serving his community and served on the Boca Raton Police Foundation board, Chamber of the Palm Beaches board, Forum Club of the Palm Beaches board, Palm Beach County Heartwalk executive board, Palm Beach County Infrastructure Oversight Committee board and as a trustee for the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. He recently moved to Atlanta.
