Ameris Bank Announces New Leadership for Tallahassee Market
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Ameris Bank Chief Banking Officer Austen Carroll announces the promotion of Steven Lohbeck to market president of the Tallahassee market. Lohbeck will be responsible for building and strengthening the bank’s initiatives and programs throughout the area.
Lohbeck joined Ameris Bank in 2013 and has more than 17 years of commercial banking experience. He most recently served as senior vice president, commercial banking for Ameris Bank where he was responsible for the oversight of the commercial banking team in Tallahassee and throughout the Panama City markets as well, while also performing duties as a commercial loan officer.
Commenting on the promotion Carroll shared, “Steven has been an integral team member in helping establish Ameris Bank as one of the premier commercial banks in Tallahassee and has consistently led and contributed to the bank’s significant growth each year throughout the market area.”
Prior to joining Ameris Bank, Lohbeck worked in several Tallahassee institutions such as Cadence Bank, Pro Bank and Colonial Bank. He graduated from the School of Banking at Louisiana State University, Florida School of Banking at the University of Florida and from Florida State University.
He and his wife, McKenzie, reside in Tallahassee and enjoy spending time outdoors as well as cheering on the Seminoles.
Former Tallahassee Market President Robert Vice now serves as market president for areas in the bank’s footprint in South Georgia and Northwest Florida, including Panama City, Thomasville, Cairo and Donalsonville. Vice, who joined Ameris Bank in 2013 and built the Tallahassee team, is looking forward to relocating to Thomasville with his wife.
