Atlanta Proud

ATL-Images4

We were honored to partner with Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and the United Way of Greater Atlanta to help eradicate homelessness in Atlanta through the HomeFirst Atlanta Initiative. Our donation of $114,000 was the final donation that helped the City reach its goal of raising $50 million dollars. This money will provide 550 homes for the city of Atlanta’s homeless population.

ATL-Images5   A record-breaking year for Helping Fight Hunger! This year alone, we stockpiled 139 food banks in 135 communities across the Southeast, helping to feed thousands of people in need. Your generosity helped us collect over 2.6 million food items during our 10th annual campaign – thank you! All of our locations within the perimeter gave to the Atlanta Community Food Bank. The Atlanta Treasury Team sponsored two events to promote the Industry Specialization Program for our nonprofit organizations. Several nonprofit organizations and many CPAs in the surrounding area were in attendance. This highly educational, hands-on workshop provided insight on ways customers could obtain liquidity, security, and potentially increased interest income on their cash balances and reserves.   ATL-Images3

As we prepared to combine teams and move our headquarters to Atlanta, office space was top of mind. Just as our Jacksonville Riverplace Tower and Center Building provide workplaces and training facilities for our expansive team, we needed office space in Atlanta that created similar efficiencies and team synergies. We are excited to announce the unveiling of the Atlanta Ameris Center. The Ameris Center (former Fidelity Bank’s Buckhead headquarters location) will be a two-building campus, where the bank will continue to occupy four floors in Building One (3490 Piedmont Road) and add an approximate 60,000 square feet of workspace in Building Two (3500 Piedmont Road). Members of our operations teams, who currently have office space at 3 Corporate Square in Atlanta, will relocate to the Ameris Center fourth quarter 2020. The current office space in Building One will also be renovated by 2021 to house our expanded lending and wealth management teams as well as additional executive offices.
