Ameris Bancorp Announces Appointment of R. Dale Ezzell to Board of Directors.

AMERIS BANCORP (NASDAQ-GS: ABCB), Moultrie, Georgia, The Board of Directors of Ameris Bancorp has announced that R. Dale Ezzell was appointed at their April meeting to fill a vacancy and serve as a Director of the Company. Ezzell was also appointed to serve as a Director of Ameris Bank, the lead banking subsidiary of the Company, and will begin service on both boards at the May meetings.
A 40-year resident of Abbeville, Alabama, Ezzell is the owner and operator of Wisecards Printing, a printing, mailing, and advertising business in Abbeville since 2001. Prior to owning Wisecards Printing, he served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Ezzell’s Clothing Store in Abbeville from 1971 until 1999.
Ezzell has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Auburn University. He is a current member and former President of Abbeville Chamber of Commerce and a member of the City of Abbeville Industrial Development Board. Ezzell also served as Chairman of the City of Abbeville Housing Authority and the Finance Chairman for Abbeville United Methodist Church.
